Piggies lead the pack

I managed to get her hair up in piggies today. I did it while she was watching "Jack's Big Music Show" so she didn't even notice and left them alone all day. They sure were cute!
I took her with me to my childbirth class tour tonight. She wanted nothing to do with the stroller, so I let her walk. She wanted to be right in there with all the people touring! It was hilarirous to see her determined to keep up and stay right in the middle. She must have walked a few miles of hallway!
Needless to say, she pooped out on the way hoem, is still asleep...and looks to stay that way!

Over the edge

She's finally learnedhow to get herself out of the bed. I almost didn't believe it (even though we practice every morning with me holding on), but Kira's nanny told me that she had layed her down for a nap the other day and soon after, heard a thud and then steps behind her! Kira was on the ground! She thought she might have fallen, but no tears and no bumps...
This morning, as I was getting ready for work at 6am, I heard Kira wake up and cry. I tried to be super quiet so she would think I was gone, but suddenly, I heard small footsteps (followed by bigger daddy steps) coming around the corner. Daddy said he woke up just in time to see her little head disappear over the side of the bed as she slid down.

Cak and the little shopper

Ive been taking Kira with me to my evening childbirth class since I am observing right now and not teaching. Last week, I was sitting at the table and Kira was busy behind me. When I turned around, I noticed the stroller was full of coke cans! Kira was busy over on the drink cart going through each can, one by one, picking out the perfect ones to add to her shopping cart. She would get two cans, bring them over, and hoist them over the stroller bar into the seat...and then head happily back for more.
She caught me watching her after she has managed to get a case or so into the stroller...and held out a can for me to see. "This?" She asks for everthing she wants to know the name of..."this?"
"Coke"
"Cak?"
"Coke"
"Cak." And with a quick nod to confirm that she knew what it was, she dropped off her latest collection and headed back for more.
From then on, every time she dropped another can into the cart it was "cak," thud, "cak," thud.
So, her latest word began...and we don't drink coke, so not a very useful word at that!

3 months difference

I quit taking Kira's picture monthly when she turned a year old. Besides saving me scrapbooking time, I did not think she had changed that much anyway. So, imagine my surprise when I took her picture and found a little girl there instead of a baby! Maybe you won't see the difference as much as I did, but I think it is amazing...
