I haven't been able to update this, because I can't figure out how to do this web site thing right. I keep messing it all up!
She loves to interact with us now. She smiles and tries so hard to laugh but just can't figure out how to make the right sound come out! It is so cute! She loves to lay on her activity mat, but hasn't started to play just yet. She loves to look at herself in the mirror and babble away, though!
She is getting a little better with the bottle, but still takes a long time to eat. Hopefully she will be better by the time I go back to work in a month. I'd hate to lose a good babysitter because she is too hard to feed. It can be frustrating.
And on that note...we are so blessed to still be in touch with Tiffany. For those who remember, she was my patient when I made my TV appearance on TLC's Maternity Ward. We have kept in touch over the past 2 years, and she has offered to watch Kira on the days that I work. We hopefully will only need a babysitter one day a week, but it is nice to know that it will be a friend I can trust!
We are keeping a close eye on little miss Kira today. She hasn't looked her usual active self and is red around the eyes with a stuffed up nose. Looks like she has her first cold. I hope it passes quickly!
She had her first major crying fit on Wednesday. In public. It was horrible and almost made her momma cry, too. It wasn't made any better by the fact that NO ONE offered any help. If you ever see a poor mom with her hands (both hands) full of packages, pushing a stroller through a non-automatic door when her baby bursts into a high pitched wail...at LEAST offer to help with the door or take a box from her. Geez. Not even the employees offered any help and there were 5 of them to only 1 other customer.
That about catches this journal up! More to come!

Kira is growing SO FAST! She is now out of most of her newborn clothes and into size 3-6 months. It's sad because I have to let go of that tiny little baby that I brought home from the hospital (as tiny as a 9 pound baby can be!), but I am loving every day even more than the one before. She is "talking" more and letting us know when she is tired, hungry, needing time with mommy and daddy and when she wants to play. She loves to watch the mobile on her swing and is discovering all the neat things to look at around the house. I can't figure out how to update her stats on the home page, but she is up to 12 pounds 1 ounce and 22 inches long! She gained 13 ounces in 10 days! No wonder it felt like I was doing nothing but feeding her!

The website is up and running! Kira didn't sleep as well as usual last night, so she is making up for it today by napping often in her crib. Mama is practicing feeding her in the sling so that we can go out in public more easily! Daddy has been giving her a bottle a couple times a week to get her ready for the babysitter in February. Kira doesn't like to EAT from the bottle, she only want to PLAY with the nipple in her mouth. It takes a loooonnnnngggg time for her to eat that way!
